We are proud to propose a one-day special culture festival at the park rich in water and nature, in the center of Tokyo where people from all over the world gather. Music, food and art; the festival condenses many different faces of Asian culture in one place. ONE ASIA Classic Orchestra, made up of top performers of traditional instruments from not just Japan but all over Asia will hold several live acoustic performances. Watch as musical instruments from different countries come together and create a miraculous performance of an unprecedented scale. The melodies will resonate in Shinjuku under the clear blue sky during the day and against the background of skyscrapers as they are gradually illuminated in the evening.

Hands-on workshops where you can learn to play wagakki (Japanese instruments) as well as traditional instruments from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and more. Professional artists will show you how to play them starting from the basics. If you get the hang of it, you may be able to play with the performers on the spot. Different instruments from across Asia are on display as well.
Reservations not required. First come first served. Limited availability. ¥500 per person, or free with presentation of event flyer/postcard.
Amigos Koike, the illustrator of the key artwork for this event will be holding an exhibition of his original works. In addition, there will be exhibits of picture books about Asia, a wooden pool, wood origami and wooden toys utilizing Japanese timber, and more. Both children and adults can enjoy the chance to relax and play with art.
